Periodic Report on the Health Situation in the Gaza Strip

 Sixteenth Report – Dated 6 October 2025

Contents of the Report:

• The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza continues to monitor and document the ongoing deterioration in the health and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, amid the blockade and severe shortages of medical supplies and basic necessities.

• Recent field data show an increase in the total number of malnutrition-related martyrs to 459, including 154 children, since the declaration of famine by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).

• During the same period, 181 additional deaths were recorded, including 39 children, due to worsening health conditions and lack of medical care.

• Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are facing the risk of complete collapse, as access to the remaining operational health facilities in Gaza Governorate has become a serious danger for both patients and healthcare workers, amid fuel shortages and the lack of essential medicines and medical supplies.

• The Palestinian Ministry of Health warns that without urgent international intervention, these circumstances will lead to a worsening humanitarian catastrophe and threaten the lives of thousands of civilians, especially children, patients, and the elderly.
