9/8/25 the "Ru’ya" building adjacent to the Abdel Shafi Community Health Association was targeted in an airstrike

On the morning of Monday, September 8, 2025, the "Ru’ya" building adjacent to the Abdel Shafi Community Health Association was targeted in an airstrike, resulting in severe damage that significantly disrupted the association’s operations. Thanks to the swift response of our teams, the building was evacuated immediately to ensure everyone's safety. However, this incident prevented us from continuing our usual services.

The damage affected the front façade and the adjoining section of the building, destroying several laboratory and medical devices, as well as the association’s main entrance. This has compromised the safe and well-equipped environment we rely on to deliver our services.

The Abdel Shafi Community Health Association remains committed to its mission of serving the community by providing a wide range of health, legal, psychological, and social services, with a special focus on women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Our services include medical imaging and radiology, in addition to treatment and comprehensive care for all who seek our support.

At present, we are working diligently to clean and reorganize the space in preparation for resuming our diverse services in a safe and welcoming environment that meets the needs of our valued community.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate and dignified care to a people who truly deserve it.

Al-Love Singapore Dispensary in Gaza

Al-Love Singapore Dispensary – Invitation for Collaboration and Strengthening Humanitarian Role in Supporting Healthcare Services at Al-Bureij Refugee Camp

Dear Colleagues, Al-Bureij Refugee Camp – Central Gaza – has ~49,164 refugees and faces a severe shortage of healthcare services. The UNRWA clinic, previously the main provider, was converted into a shelter for displaced families after October 7. Only one partially functioning government clinic remains, alongside 10 temporary shelters.

To meet urgent needs, the Al-Love Singapore Dispensary, supported by Love Aid Singapore, was established in April 2025 at the main entrance of the camp within Al-Bureij Public Park (600 m²) to enhance access to essential and emergency healthcare.

Achievements (August 2025): 7,090 beneficiaries served; Emergency & Reception: 3,199 cases; services include Wound & Burn Care, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Physiotherapy, Mental Health, Reproductive Health, Pharmacy, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics.

Vision: This dispensary is the first step towards a sustainable, long-term healthcare system in Al-Bureij, ensuring high-quality services for all residents.

We invite all international organizations, including UNRWA, to collaborate with us in supporting these services, promoting humanitarian role-sharing, and leveraging advanced logistics from field actors. We appreciate all organizations and healthcare professionals in Gaza and look forward to a productive partnership to enhance sustainable access to healthcare services for Al-Bureij residents.
